The Millennium Village Project provides a package of integrated interventions aimed at assisting poor rural communities to get out of poverty and achieve the Millennium Development Goals in 5 years. A village in northern Ethiopia (Koraro) is selected to get assistance from such a project for the next 5 years. Project work in Koraro is currently facilitated on the ground by experts in agriculture, health, water, gender and rural development.

The Millennium Villages Project is seeking a highly motivated individual who would work as a coordinator of interventions and research at the Koraro Millennium Village . As the overall objective of the project is to reduce/eliminate extreme poverty through a package of interventions with greater emphasis on farming, environmental rehabilitation and income generation, knowledge and experience in agriculture and/or rural development is highly desirable.
