Description of the Position

 

The Admin. Assistant will be responsible to the Director and Country Coordinator of Center for National Health Development in Ethiopia.

 

Specific Duties and Responsibilities

 
The sucessful applicant will be responsible for the following activities:
   
Will work closely with CNHDE, Millennium Villages and New York office staffs to support and facilitate the activities of the Country Coordinator
   
Ensure that all communications and reports are managed for the Country Coordinator’s office properly
   
Ensure that all critical information is reported to the Country Coordinator on time
   
Ensure proper filling and record keeping as per to the Center’s office guidelines
   
Maintain agenda and arrange scheduled appointments
   
Arrange meetings, workshops and other programs as needed
   
Receive visitors, calls and e-mails
   
Arrange travel logistics; hotel bookings and transfers
   
Assemble important addresses at own initiative and make a good network of contracts
   
Perform preparation and typing of documents, proposals and generation of reports
   
Administer office attendants, guards and drivers
   
Work on logistics in cooperation with the Drivers Supervisor
   
Perform other duties as required
 
Educational Background and Qualification
   
Degree in Business Administration or other relevant areas
   
A complete in-depth grasp of office management principles and practices
   
Outstanding communication skills, verbal and written in English
   
Excellent interpersonal and business communication skills
   
Excellent proficiency in Microsoft office programs and internet
   
Commitment to work under pressure and have good team work spirit
   
Experience on accounting and planning will be an asset
   
Excellent proficiency in Microsoft office programs and internet
   
Relevant experience
At least 3 years of demonstrable experience as an Admin. Assistant or office manager
   
Experience with international organization is an advantage
