The Center for National Health Development in Ethiopia (CNHDE) is an international NGO under the Earth Institute at Columbia University closely working with the Ministry of Health of on various health issues that include the health extension program, malaria and other neglected tropical infections. It also provides technical support to the Millennium Villages Project and coordinates the quick impact initiative for malaria. The Center for National Health Development in Ethiopia invites a qualified professional to follow up implementation and reporting malaria and other neglected tropical diseases activities in the millennium village’s project sites. |

| Main responsibility | |
| In communication with the health coordinators, compile data on current malaria situation and control activities in the millennium village project sites | |
| Ensure that guidelines on case management, use of anti-malaria medicines at health facility and community levels, drug distribution system, use of diagnostics such as clinical, microscopic and RDTs, fever algorithm for management of clinical malaria, role of community health workers in drug distribution and treatment, and IPT are in place and properly utilized | |
| Follow up that all patient registration and reporting formats are in place at the community and health facility levels | |
| Report to the health coordinator of the project and the head of the health center | |
| Make sure data on monthly malaria related morbidity and mortality is collected, compiled and sent to Addis Ababa | |
| Consolidate malaria and NTD reports from MVs and send consolidated reports to New York | |
| Determine the material and financial needs for malaria and NTD diagnosis, treatment, and prevention in the MVs | |
| Ensure the MVs have all the materials and finance for malaria and NTD prevention, data collection and reporting according to plan | |
| Ensure that vital registration of birth and death system is in place and working properly | |
| Perform all other duties given by immediate supervisor | |
| Requirements | |
| MSc or equivalent in public health related fields | |
| Other requirements | |
| At least 5 years of work experience | |
| Good knowledge in data storage and analysis | |
| Proficiency in Microsoft office programs | |
| Excellent spoken and written English | |
| Experience in malaria prevention and control | |
