The Ethiopian Journal of Health Development, a scholarly organ of the Ethiopian Public Health Association, has dedicated its latest publication to works by the Center for National Health Development in Ethiopia (CNHDE). The Journal in its special issue entitled "Human Resources Development and Health Extenstion Workers and Program" has published four of CNHDE's recent works on health resource development in Ethiopia, assessment of the training of the first in-take of Health Extension Workers, study on health extension workers access to information, countinuing education and reference materials, and assessment of the working conditions of the Health Extension Workers in Ethiopia.

It is to be noted that the CNHDE has providing technical assistance to the government of Ethiopia in its efforts to increase access and equity of essntial health care services fort he under-served rural population of Ethiopia through the implementation of the Health Extension Program. The CNHDE is also working on evaluation of the health extension program and will release its preliminary report soon.
